SEO Render Inspector — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

Summary

SEO Render Inspector does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal data. All analysis runs locally in your browser.

What the extension does

When you click “Analyze this page”, the extension reads the current page’s HTML — both the raw server response and the JavaScript-rendered DOM — to compare its SEO elements (meta tags, structured data, canonical, content, internal links, hreflang). The analysis is performed entirely on your device and shown to you in a local report tab.

Data handling

  • No data is sent to the developer or to any third-party server.
  • The captured HTML is stored temporarily in the browser’s local storage only to pass it from the background worker to the report tab, and is deleted immediately once the report loads.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no cookies, no user accounts.

Permissions

  • activeTabscripting — to read the page you explicitly choose to analyze.
  • debugger — used once per analysis, on the active tab only, to read the exact raw HTML and to re-request the page with a Googlebot user-agent (cloaking check); detached immediately after.
  • storageunlimitedStorage — to briefly hold the captured HTML, then delete it.
  • tabs — to open the report in a new tab.
